Introducing Cruzin’s Divine Valentines. We dressed em up in their finest tuxedos to celebrate!! We welcomed these little sweethearts in the wee hours of February 13th but decided to name them in honor of Valentines day since they are a gift of love from the Creator to us. It is God the Creator who does the unseen work and in my kennel, He gets all credit !! I had Ranger here for a visit in my home this December and after studying he and my girls I decided to cross him on Shevaun for this breeding as I felt that these two dogs could really compliment one another.

TURN CRUZIN'S FLAME ON (May 1,2006)
PSALM 39:3~4
MY HEART WAS HOT WITHIN ME. WHILE I WAS MUSING, THE FIRE BURNED; THEN I SPOKE WITH MY TONGUE:
LORD, MAKE ME TO KNOW MY END AND (TO APPRECIATE) THE MEASURE OF MY DAYS~WHAT IT IS; LET ME KNOW AND REALIZE HOW FRAIL I AM (HOW TRANSIENT IS MY STAY HERE).
I am deeply blessed to have the opportunity to bring another of Cruz's beautiful daughters home and into my breeding program. Flame is a Shaya/Cruz puppy that was born on September 3rd 2005. Shaya belongs to Sandy and Christina Tweed of Astoria OR and was bred by Susan Turner of Turn Kennel. At the time this litter was ready to go home I was deep in the middle of a major move across our state so I felt that I couldn't handle a third new puppy in my 35 ft fifth wheel! Well as the Lord would have it I am in a position now to have Flame and my friend Susan Turner was in the position to allow me the pleasure of purchasing her.
Flame was Pat Hastings evaluated at 8 weeks of age and is the number 2 pick of a litter of 8 puppies. Christina, Susan and I are very proud of this girl and hope for great things in her future.
Flame was honored with a Best of Breed and Reserve Best in Multi Breed Show on March 26th at the Volcano View Rat Terrier Club show. We wish to thank judge Rodger (Butch) Bennett for seeing the potential in this fine girl. At the time this was awarded to Flame she was only 6 1/2 months of age and it was her debut show.

CH DESERT HIGH BENEATH HIS WINGS (November 14, 2007)
PSALM 36:7 HOW PRECIOUS IS YOUR STEADFAST LOVE, O GOD! THE CHILDREN OF MEN TAKE REFUGE AND PUT THEIR TRUST UNDER THE SHADOW OF YOUR WINGS...
MAY 10 & 11 2008 VVRTC SHOW IN SHELTON WA
Hawk took three Best of Winners under the following judges to complete his UKC Champion title, pending UKC approval, in one show weekend:
~Nina Marie Sherrer ~Joyce Lea Hanson ~Alan Krenek
John and I and Hawk's breeders Gary and Debbie Glaspey of Desert High Kennels would like to thank these fine judges for seeing Hawk for the quality Rat Terrier that he truly is.
******UPDATE****** We took our Valentine litter to Pat Hastings on April 8, 08 and we had Pat go over Hawk as well. She went over him and all she could say....repeatedly... is "this is one pretty puppy...." She really liked our boy and we take that as a high compliment. Gary and Debbie did an awesome job on this boy and his siblings and they will be the first to tell you that it is the Lord's hand that has made these fabulous dogs. I just want to say thank you to them and the Lord one more time for this awesome boy. He is SOME DOG....
We were very blessed in the year 2007 to have received a special gift from the Lord for our breeding program. Hawk is that special gift and comes to us from our dear friends Gary and Debbie Glaspey of Desert High Rat Terriers. Gary and Debbie have a good eye for an excellent dog and we are very blessed to bring one of their puppies home to be a part of our breeding program. Hawk is a handsome black tri tuxedo male with very correct structure as well as a marvelous temperament. Hawk's sire is GRCH Desert High's Light of Eternity. Prince was #5 in the Top Ten in the year 2006 and was #4 in the top ten for 2007. Prince is a very correct dog structurally and as a result posesses beautiful movement. Prince's temperament is fabulous. Hawk's dam Anna is a lovely girl with very lovely structure and a marvelous temperament as well. She did a fine job on this beautiful boy and all of his siblings. Hawk comes from a very consistant and well structured litter. We are so blessed to have one of these pups in our family and breeding program. We are so excited to watch Hawk soar in the future... |

CRUZIN'S RAVEN IRISH BEAUTY (November 18th, 2005) SHEVAUN IN THE IRISH DIALECT MEANS GOD IS GRACIOUS.
PSALM 86:15 BUT YOU, O LORD, ARE A GOD MERCIFUL AND GRACIOUS, SLOW TO ANGER AND ABOUNDING IN MERCY AND LOVING-KINDNESS AND TRUTH....
Please meet our precious Cruz/Ava daughter Shevaun. Shevaun in the Irish dialect means "God is Gracious" and that He has been by blessing us with this beautiful puppy. Shevaun was one of a litter of 10 beautiful puppies.
This little girl is everything I was hoping for in this breeding. She received the best of her sire and her dam. We are just so pleased to have had the priveledge of partnering with Robbin Peckham of Irish Glyn Kennel in this outstanding breeding. We are very honored to have brought this fine girl home to be a part of the future of our lines. Shevaun was my wet pick from the wee hours of night right after she was born. I followed her closely through the weeks and she stole my heart. I hope you enjoy her as much as we do and we will be updating her pictures freguently as she grows up so stay tuned!
****UPDATE**** On February 23, 2007 we took Shevaun to our veterinarian and had a hip x-ray as well as patellas and heart screen done. Shevaun's hips are well seated and will pass OFA certification. Her patellas were rock solid, even under sedation and her heart is sound. We will repeat this exam later this summer and send everything in to OFA for certification closer to Shevaun's second birthday, but it sure is nice to know she is worthy of being bred.
Shevaun is a tad over 14" and weights 16.7lbs.
NEWS FLASH!!! Shevaun took a Best Female and a Best of Winners on Sunday August 6th under judge Dennis Morgan. Thank you Dennis!!!

We are so blessed to introduce SpursNSpokes Cruzin Destiny ....This fine female was sired by our Cruz and we are extremely proud of this little girl. Destiny is owned and loved by Linda Conroy of SpursnSpokes kennel. Linda's Gilly is Destiny's dam. Destiny has an awesome temperament as well as very correct structure. There were 5 quality puppies in this litter and structurally Pat scored them as all breeding quality prospects. We are going to enjoy every minute of watching this girl grow.
Destiny's gorgeous dam is Lil Rascals Light Yer Fire/Gilly and she is owned by my friend Linda Conroy of SpursNSpokes Kennel. Gilly is a very nice female and has out produced herself consistantly. SPURSNSPOKES ROPIN' THE MOON (January 2008)
HEBREWS 10:24 AND LET US CONSIDER HOW WE MAY SPUR ONE ANOTHER ON TOWARD LOVE AND GOOD DEEDS...
RIATA IS BACK WITH GRAMMY LINDA GROWING UP ON THE 40 AC FARM. WE JUST HAD TOO MUCH SNOW AND RIATA COULD ESCAPE OUR FENCES. SHE NEEDS ROOM TO EXERCISE THAT LITTLE CATTLE DOG BRAIN OF HERS!!
We are so blessed to introduce our Australian Cattle Dog Riata! Riata comes to us as a generous gift from my dear friend Linda Conroy at SpursNSpokes Kennel. I very much admired Linda's lovely and intelligent Cattle dog Dandy. Linda called me one afternoon and asked me if I would like her top pick puppy from a recent litter. I had been seriously considering a medium sized dog that I could use for serious obedience work and as a protective companion. I prayed about the decision and felt that Riata was an answer to prayer so I said "YES PLEASE!"
Riata was Pat Hasting's evaluated and was the top pick of her litter. She has very lovely structure, coat and breed type . I adore her beautiful headpiece. Riata is highly intelligent...learning 4 weeks of basic obedience in less than a week. I'm afraid I will have to work awfully hard to challenge this smarty pants! She is solid nerved and has a very happy outlook on life. We love her to pieces and don't know what we ever did without her now. We will update pictures frequently so stop by and take a look!

PAST CRUZIN' PUPPIES (March 12, 2005) This album contains pictures of my past puppies either born here at Cruzin' kennel or sired by our stud dog Cruz. We are very proud of these wonderful offspring. We invest so much of ourselves into our pups that by the time they reach their new homes they have been thoroughly socialized, litterbox trained, examined by a veterinarian for congenital defects and general health and evaluated by Pat Hastings. Our puppies have also been through the Bio-Sensor/SuperDog program from day 3 to day 16. We are commited to Natural Rearing with our puppies.
I would like to thank each of the fine people that own one of these Cruzin' beauties. We received, in answer to prayer, incredible perfect homes for each of these wee ones. We all enjoy a very special bond and I really miss not having them in my kitchen every saturday for puppy visitation!! Thank you all so very much!!! |

2005 WHATCOM COUNTY YOUTH FAIR/DOGS (April 16, 2005)| I and my family have the wonderful priveledge of superintending the dog division of the Whatcom County Youth Fair. This year was our 4th year and we had 50 children and almost as many dogs. We always have such a wonderful time seeing the children every year and their marvelous dogs. We had many wonderful demonstrations again this year. We had an educational poster contest. The children had to present their posters and communicate to the rest of the division all that they had learned about their particular breed. As always it was wonderful. We had a costume contest, bandana decorating (so their dogs could wear them) a tracking demonstration, a veterinarian, an agility club, a US Customs drug detection dog, and a best trick contest. Oh and I almost forgot!! We had the Guide Dog Puppy Raisers too!! We had a wonderful time and we built so many wonderful memories with the kids. Hope you enjoy the pics as much as we do. |
